Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LaundrEase mobile application and related services ("Service") operated by Peak Hit Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"), registered in the Republic of South Africa.

By using the LaundrEase app or booking a collection, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Scope of Service

LaundrEase provides a convenient laundry collection and delivery service. We collect laundry from customers, have it washed, dried, and folded by trusted partner laundromats, and return it to the customer's specified address.

Dry cleaning and specialty garment services may be introduced in future phases, but are not currently part of the Service.

2. Partner Laundromats

• All laundry is processed by independent partner laundromats acting as third-party contractors.
• While LaundrEase ensures that all partners meet agreed quality and hygiene standards, we do not directly perform the washing or drying services.
• LaundrEase is not liable for delays, errors, or issues arising directly from the operations of these partners.

3. Pick-Up and Delivery

• Customers are responsible for ensuring that their laundry is ready for collection at the agreed pick-up time and location.
• Delivery times may vary based on service demand, location, and weather conditions. LaundrEase will make reasonable efforts to complete deliveries promptly.
• If a customer is unavailable for pick-up or delivery, additional fees may apply for re-scheduling.

4. Payments

• Payment options include Cash on Delivery (COD) or Card on Delivery.
• Future versions of the app may include online or in-app payment gateways.
• All payments must be made in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. Minimum Order and Pricing

• A minimum order fee applies to ensure efficient operations.
• Service charges are based on a per-basket rate, plus applicable delivery fees, depending on your zone. Free delivery may apply to orders exceeding a specified amount.
• All prices and promotions are subject to change without prior notice.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

• Orders may be cancelled before collection without penalty.
• Once collected, cancellation is no longer possible as the laundry process will have commenced.
• Refunds are only issued in cases of proven service failure or error attributable to LaundrEase or its partners. All refund decisions are at the sole discretion of LaundrEase.

7. Liability and Damage

While every care is taken with your garments, LaundrEase and its partners cannot be held responsible for:

• Normal wear and tear, color fading, or shrinkage.
• Damage to garments that do not follow manufacturer care labels.
• Loss of items due to undisclosed defects or pre-existing damage.

Customers are advised not to send delicate or high-value items unless confirmed safe for standard washing and drying.

In the event of confirmed loss or damage caused by our partners, compensation will be limited to the fair value of the affected item(s), up to a maximum equivalent of the service fee paid for that order.

8. User Responsibilities

• You agree to provide accurate information including name, address, and contact details.
• You must ensure your laundry is properly bagged and does not include non-clothing items or hazardous materials.
• LaundrEase reserves the right to refuse service if your laundry contains inappropriate items or presents safety concerns.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• Your personal information, including address, contact details, and order history, is collected and used in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy.
• We are committed to protecting your information and complying with all applicable data protection laws in South Africa.

10. Changes to Terms

LaundrEase may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available within the app and on our website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
